Come home from the grocery store and the garage door will not go up! GREAT! another house expense that was not in the budget.

Anyhow, poor husband comes home and sees the problem and it's beyond his repair. We call a company that we find and explain our problem. The lady asked, how many springs are on your garage door, we said 1, with a metal door. She quoted a price of $109-$149 for the job, never saying that is the price per spring, just that that would be the price to expect.

The man shows up in our yard with TWO springs (now that we know what they were) in hand and other parts. He goes in the garage and of course fixes it and also says, you need new rollers and goes on to put those on too. After done, he hands my husband the bill. IT WAS $278!!

So, long story short, they are a horrible company and LIE! That is what you get when you trust someone. Then the man kept repeating, $109-149 per spring when I asked him about the price variance...which is fine, we told her that and we only had 1 spring and that is what we wanted. He said he put 2 on (without asking) and we assumed those were the tools quoted in the price, we thought that was 1 spring and parts, plus just adding on the rollers like it was part of the job. I questioned him and told him she never stated a per spring price and of course he said, yes, she did, I was right there. BUT SHE DID NOT, once we said we had one spring, she said the price of $109-149. We did not ask for extra springs nor were we asked if we wanted them. It was fine with one and that is what we wanted.

Anyhow, I have a call into the lady to discuss the miscommunication. I'll pay the price, now it is more the principal and how taken advantage of I feel. Please, NO ONE use this business and be careful when you trust someone, there are few to be trusted these days! The company name is Plano Spring King.

Today, Sunday, is a wonderful day! How is your day? Church was fabulous this morning. So refreshing and inspirational...finding peace! Exactly what I needed...after resigning and having a wonderful family to support me, I feel that my life has been redirected in a way that is very rewarding and fulfilling as a wife and mother. I am on my way to find this inner-peace! Enjoy your day and if you have time, read the book of Habakkuk.
