We have been blessed with 2 wonderful boys, 10 months and 3 1/2. They are our every joy, laugh, move and beat. Our latest addition has been such a great baby! So fun! Now we are at the point of trying to figure out if we want to have another child before our baby days of marriage are over or should I say, ended. Who knows...we want a big family but 3 is a big number when it comes to children these days. Say a prayer for our decision!

We are now parents of 2 boys. Our newest addition is now about 2 months old and he's doing great. Big brother is doing wonderful too. He just turned 3, wow how time flies. The hardest party is now figuring out a routine that works to make everyone happy! ..and trying to decide if we are brave enough to want another!

If you are like me and still picking up Christmas, I discovered yesterday that lots of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends products are on sale at Target! Anywhere from $3-6 cheaper...not much for one thing but it adds up if you are buying 4 or 5 products! All the metal die-casts are on sale too. So, if you can surpass the China scare, this is a great deal for your train lover! I had to pick up 2 more yesterday for my little man!

Going to see Santa!!! (here we go again...)

Well, I have to post this information that may mean very little to the reader but here it goes... yesterday I took my son to the Shops at Willowbend in Plano, TX to see Santa...this is my son's 3rd Christmas at 2 1/2 years old and our 2nd trip to see Santa. Let me just say WOW! He did awesome!...he walked right up to Santa, smiled, and just backed into his lap and giggled...Santa was super great and tickled him, etc. but what a great Santa experience this year!! And of course last night is when it really hit me why us, as parents, do this kind of crazy thing every year (you know, drive miles to wait in line to pay crazy $$ for a picture!)....my little boy found his Santa picture on the counter and carried it around not wanting to let go, saying "Santa, Santa!" Dad had to play a trick to get it out of his hand and switch him over to his Thomas train and Lightning McQueen car so he wouldn't tear my $40 Santa picture, haha! What a great time!

...however, I must admit, the best part yet of this holiday season and parenting thing at Christmas time is when my son now sees Baby Jesus and says..."Thank you Baby Jesus!" That is priceless! Merry Christmas! Take time to hug your baby and enjoy this time...soon it will be gone!

ARLINGTON, Texas -- A megachurch canceled a memorial service for a Navy veteran 24 hours before it was to start because the deceased was gay. Officials at the nondenominational High Point Church knew that Cecil Howard Sinclair was gay when they offered to host his service, said his sister, Kathleen Wright.But after his obituary listed his life partner as one of his survivors, she said, it was called off.

"It's a slap in the face. It's like, 'Oh, we're sorry he died, but he's gay so we can't help you,"' she said Friday. Wright said High Point offered to hold the service for Sinclair because their brother is a janitor there.Sinclair, who served in the first Gulf War, died Monday at age 46 from an infection after surgery to prepare him for a heart transplant. The church's pastor, the Rev. Gary Simons, said no one knew Sinclair, who was not a church member, was gay until the day before the Thursday service, when staff members putting together his video tribute saw pictures of men "engaging in clear affection, kissing and embracing." Simons said the church believes homosexuality is a sin, and it would have appeared to endorse that lifestyle if the service had been held there. "We did decline to host the service -- not based on hatred, not based on discrimination, but based on principle," Simons told The Associated Press. "Had we known it on the day they first spoke about it -- yes, we would have declined then. It's not that we didn't love the family." Simons said the decision had nothing to do with the obituary. He said the church offered to pay for another site for the service, made the video and provided food for more than 100 relatives and friends. "Even though we could not condone that lifestyle, we went above and beyond for the family through many acts of love and kindness," Simons said. Wright called the church's claim about the pictures "a bold-faced lie." She said she provided numerous family pictures of Sinclair, including some with his partner, but said none showed men kissing or hugging. The 5,000-member High Point Church was founded in 2000 by Simons and his wife, April, whose brother is Joel Osteen, well-known pastor of the 38,000-member Lakewood Church in Houston.Now High Point meets in a 432,000-square-foot facility in Arlington, near Dallas. Wright said relatives declined the church's offer to hold the service at a community center because they felt it was an inappropriate venue.It ultimately was held at a funeral home, but the cancellation still lingered in some minds, she said.

Whoopi Goldberg is the new co-host of “The View!”

Barbara Walters and the rest of the women made the announcement that the comedienne was chosen to fill one of two coveted spots on the ABC gabfest.

“Extra” was with Whoopi on set this morning moments after the big announcement came, and the wise-cracking Whoopi wasted no time getting started!

“Do you ever watch ‘The View?’” Barbara asked Whoopi.

She replied, “Once or twice. You look familiar!”

Whoopi told “Extra” she knows it’s not going to be easy replacing Rosie O’Donnell.

“Rosie is my friend. I’m doing a job she's done, that's all,” she says. “I can't be her. I can only be me and I hope that's good enough.”

Barbara told “Extra” that Rosie’s reaction to the replacement was nothing but happiness for Whoopie.

“Rosie is so supportive of Whoopi,” explains Barbara. “We’re email pals. We had a wonderful year with Rosie. This is a new chapter.”

But is “The View” still looking to replace Star Jones?

“I'm not actively searching for another co-host,” reveals Barbara. “If we find one then that would be great.”

Whoopi will officially join the chat-fest September 4.

Two photographers are considering suing Britney Spears, claiming she made serious death threats and made them fear for their lives!

The men claim Britney screamed “I am going to kill you!” and warned they should get a restraining order because she would hire someone to do the job!

The incident occurred last week at the Wynn Las Vegas casino as Britney and her two kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, left the hotel spa.

When photographers tried to snap pictures of the tots, Britney and her bodyguard allegedly went ballistic!

Things turned ugly as the security guard, J.C. Camera, allegedly threw a lensman to the ground, supposedly punching and kicking him until hotel security pulled him off.

The photographers tell “Extra” that Britney then threw a baby bottle at the photogs and had to be restrained!

Britney hasn’t been charged with any crime, but Las Vegas cops have issued a summons for a charge of battery for her bodyguard.

If convicted, he could face up to six months in county jail.

Nicole Breaks Her Silence

Nicole Richie has finally admitted she’s pregnant, after months of speculation.

Now the jail-bound starlet is breaking her silence about her drug use, admitting why she took Vicodin the night she was arrested!

“Extra” can reveal that Nicole took the prescription painkiller because she claimed to be suffering from menstrual cramps.

She tells OK! magazine that she took the drug, but didn’t have a prescription.

Nicole, 25, was pulled over in December after driving on the wrong side of the freeway in Los Angeles. She told police she had taken Vicodin and smoked marijuana.

After pleading guilty to DUI, she was sentenced to four days in jail.

She's now promising that her life is going to slow down so she can get healthy and care for her baby with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden.

The 5 Biggest Beauty Sins

Sometimes looking good is just as much about what you don't do as what you do. But if you chew on your cuticles or use a hair dryer every day, it's time to hit the confessional. You're committing a beauty sin!

Cosmopolitan magazine has issued a list of the eight biggest beauty sins. We have five of them here. Who among us has not committed at least one of these? Now is the time to repent!

Beauty Sin No. 1: Chewing on your cuticles
It may seem like just a little nibble, but torn cuticles lead to hangnails and that can lead to an infection. Jessica Vartoughian, owner of Jessica Nail Clinic in Los Angeles, told Cosmo the trick is to keep the skin around the nails moisturized. She recommends rubbing a thick cream or oil onto your cuticles daily and massaging them with an exfoliator every few days.

Beauty Sin No. 2. Changing your hair color too frequently
It's fine to change your hair color or tint occasionally, but if you dye your hair too often, it will make the strands weak--not to mention the identity crisis you'll get when you go from blonde to red to brunette in a matter of weeks. Pantene celebrity colorist Rita Hazan told Cosmopolitan that darker shades are less damaging to your hair since you aren't stripping away natural pigment. A permanent dye can be used safely once every four weeks, while an ammonia-free, semi-permanent formula can be used once every three weeks. Just remember to get an excellent conditioner and use it frequently!

Beauty Sin No. 3: Going to bed without first washing your face
Falling asleep with eye make-up on can not only give you puffy bags when you awaken, but also lead to an infection. New York City dermatologist Patricia Wexler says layers of foundation, concealer and blush clog up your pores and keep your skin from breathing. Even if you don't wear make-up, you still need to wash your face before bed to rid it of oil and dirt. Here's an idea: Use pre-moistened face wipes.

Beauty Sin No. 4: Getting a fake tan
Do we even have to say it? Those ultraviolet-A rays that are emitted primarily from tanning-bed bulbs are also known as "aging rays." They will actually penetrate connective tissue, which leads to premature aging. And if that's not enough, UVA rays have also been linked to skin cancer. Just get your tan from a bottle. It's safe. And believable.

Beauty Sin No. 5: Using too much heat on your hair
Put down the hair dryer, curling iron and flatiron now and no one will get hurt. These instruments of hair torture will not only dry out your hair, but also leave it dull, frizzy and weak. Joico artist Anthony Morrison, owner of the Londoner Salon in Los Angeles, told Cosmo you should use a medium heat and speed setting when drying your hair and keep the nozzle a few inches away from your head. When using a flatiron, slide it quickly down your hair, and release the curling iron after five seconds. Protect your hair with a moisturizing shampoo.

Today the Mom's Club of McKinney had the great opportunity to visit the McKinney Fire Station on McDonald Street. It was a wonderful experience for my son of 2 years. Although he didn't understand all the talking and rules, he loved the sounds and trucks! As he runs around the house with his fire bracelet on, his red fire hat on and his tattoo on his forearm I realize how fun staying home with my son really is and what opportunities it offers for the both of us. I must admit, sometimes I wonder why did I give up my career and the use of my college degree that I worked so hard for to stay home...but when I look at these moments, I soon realize what God intended on me to do as a mom and a mom of His child.

Treasure your moments...and thank your local firemen for the great work they do. While we were there they were actually called out and not one of them hesitated, they just jumped aboard the truck and off they went to deliver their services.

Rare genetic mutation increases muscles, weight of sleek breed

People mistake her for a pitbull with a pinhead, but Wendy the whippet is one rare breed.

So rare that the Central Saanich dog recently graced the New York Times. She also had several of her photos shown on The Today Show, all because of a rare genetic mutation that has led to her being the Incredible Hulk of dogs.

Wendy is a 27-kilogram rippling mass of muscle. Forget the so-called six-pack stomach: Wendy has a 24-pack. And the muscles around her neck are so thick, they look like a lion's ruff.

Wendy the Whippet has a genetic disorder that has resulted in an exceptionally muscular appearance.

"People have referred to her as Arnold Schwarzenegger," says doting owner Ingrid Hansen, stroking Wendy's sleek black coat and white chest.

Wendy was recently part of a genetics study done in the U.S. on mutation in the myostatin gene in whippets, which resemble greyhounds in appearance. The National Institute of Health study reported that whippets with one single defective copy of the gene have increased muscle mass that can enhance racing performance in the breed, known for speeds up to 60 kilometres an hour.

But whippets with two mutated copies of the gene become "double-muscled," like Wendy. It has been seen before in one human, and also in mice, cattle and sheep, says the study.

The uber-muscled whippets are called "bullies," not because of their nature -- Wendy likes nothing better than a good back scratch and isn't shy about sitting in your lap to ask for one -- but because of their size. She's about twice the weight of an average whippet, but with the same height and small narrow head -- and the same size heart and lungs, which means she probably won't live as long as normal whippets.

Hansen has had Wendy, now four, since she bought the dog from a Shawnigan Lake breeder when she was eight months old.

Wendy landed in clover. She lives on an acreage, runs around with other dogs and horses, sleeps on Hansen's bed and pretty much anywhere else she wants to.

People are often afraid when the muscle-bound dog runs up to them on her dainty whippet-thin legs, but they soon realize she's friendly, Hansen said.
