Adenoids removed from toddlers with ear tubes?

Kids

Well, as parents the road is very tough with all kinds of twists and turns and sometimes stop signs but many hugs and giggles that make it all ok...my son turned 2 this weekend and it was so exciting.  We had his birthday at the Wiggles Playcenter in Frisco, TX and it was GREAT!!  Very good place for toddler birthdays and very, very clean!

Anyhow, we found out last week that our son has to have a second set of ear tubes and this time they are removing his adenoids.  He has fluid in his ear.  I'm not sure if I should be happy or worried but I've heard it's a good thing and he'll be glad they, the adenoids, are gone...anyhow, wanted to see if anyone has ever had experience with this procedure on their little one? I'm not so worried about the ear tubes b/c we've done that before, but just wondering about the whole adenoid removal process and more importantly the recovery!   Wish us luck!

My 3yr old son just had his adenoids out today. It went really well with little to almost no bleeding. He went to sleep and the doctor did the procedure and was out talking to us within 20 minutes. It was a little rough for him coming out of the ansthesia. They wanted him to drink before they would let him go home. He just wanted to sleep , they got wise and finally gave him a popsicle and he ate it all. This evening hes been eating jello and applesauce. His voice sounds a little funny, but hes acting like himself.
